Red Velvet Release Sub-Par Solo Day “Homage”

Alternatively titled: Calling SM Out on Ripping off B1A4 for the Second Time in 12 Months

I haven’t talked about the B1A4 Propaganda Agenda for a little while on the blog. I’ve

alluded to it while talking about Ailee’s album cover, but I can’t think of any instances since then. Well, I was tryna do my own thing, mind my own business, but then the Most Overrated Rookie Group of All Time (no, not EXO), Red Velvet had a comeback. And it’s time for the B1A4 Propaganda Agenda to return.

September 2014 is the Worst Month for K-Pop, Period

I don’t even know how to start this post. This month has been so miserable in the world of K-Pop for so many reasons. Obviously, not trying to be a ‘self centered jerk who makes light of incidents’ – the worst thing happening being Ladies’ Code accident that took the life of EunBi and RiSe. While the lives of two girls are obviously much more important than the music industry, considering they were K-Pop figures, it’s not harmful, in my opinion, to state how it affected the industry and fans of the industry. When you’re attached to a public figure, their passing obviously can make you upset.

It seems as if this tragic event set a cloud over the month to come.

SNSD (So Nyeo Slay Dae) Comes to Take Back Their Throne

So I’m about ready to go to bed, and I see someone on my tumblr dash talking about “Mr.Mr.”; the name of SNSD’s comeback song released at their SMTown Week concert in December 2013. I heard rumours that it was scrapped, that the video had to be filmed twice because Lee SooMan thought the first one sucked, and that they were coming back sooner…I had no idea what was happening with SNSD. Yesterday, Taeyeon (Leader of SNSD) posted a teaser pic on her Instagram account stating a comeback was near. I did a bit of digging, and found out what’s up.

The comeback is nearer than we thought because today, February 11, 2014, over a year since SNSD last came back with the hot mess “I Got a Boy” (which I still loved anyways), SMEnt released the teaser for “Mr.Mr.” and set the comeback date to February 19. Continue reading

SM The Ballad Turns Into a Huge Mess

In 2010 SM debuted their first company-wide unit, SM The Ballad, featuring Super Junior’s Kyuhyun (obviously the most important singer in the world), SHINee’s Jonghyun, TRAX’s Jay, and another member Jino, at the time and currently not involved in any SM Entertainment groups. The group released an EP and promoted it. The EP included two group songs and solos. It seemed to go over well with fans, and ever since I became a fan of K-Pop in 2011, I kept hearing about the demand for an SM The Ballad comeback.

Well the demanders wish has been granted, but I suppose ‘beggars can’t be choosers’. SM released a statement on February 3 (note: Kyuhyun’s birthday) that SM The Ballad will be promoting in 2014! Continue reading
